Tangará da Serra is a municipality located in the western region of Mato Grosso, totaling an area of 11,324 km² and a population of 107,631 inhabitants. The Tangará da Serra Regional Pact acts as part of a regionalization strategy of the PCI Institute. The main production supply chains in the region are soy, corn, cotton, timber, and livestock.
In 2022, through the Municipality of Tangará da Serra together with PCI and class entities of the private sector, the Regional Pact was instituted, with the objective of making the necessary efforts to promote sustainable economic development through the PCI strategy in the Municipality of Tangará da Serra. A Memorandum of Understanding between the Municipality of Tangará and the PCI Institute will be signed in early 2023. The Tangará da Serra Regional Pact is in line with the goals of the PCI State Strategy.
